The Town of Miami Lakes honored the Main Street Players and its half century of producing live theater. Mayor Manny Cid and the town council presented the theater board with a proclamation on Feb. 13 to mark their success in Miami Lakes. Cid called the theater a jewel in the community and praising its award-winning shows, community outreach and work with children. “We stand here very grateful and very proud that we have been around for so long,” President Patty Fernandez said.
