Town staff takes on FitBit challenge

A FitBit Challenge has swept through Miami Lakes Town Hall. Councilmembers Manny Cid and Ceasar Mestre along with Town Manager Alex Rey (pictured front center) along with nearly all Town staff members proudly display their FitBits. Cigna Health Insurance provided the Town with wellness dollars and under Cid’s initiative, the Town partnered with FitBit for the wellness challenge. “The goal is to save taxpayer dollars by keeping our employees fit and healthy, which in turn, will lower our health insurance premiums,” Cid said.
