Town of Miami Lakes has published its First Quarter Report from October to December 2015.  The report highlights statistics from the Lakes Life Mobile app which launched last July. To date, the app has over 1,200 users.

Over the first quarter, the Town received 284 requests from residents. The app allows users to submit requests such as street light outages and pot holes, track the Moover buses in real time, and access the Town’s local business directory the Miami Lakes Marketplace.

The majority of requests were related to street repairs which resulted in the repair of 56 pot and sink holes – triple the number of repairs done last year during the first quarter.

“Performance measures are effective and reliable ways to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our service delivery, as well as our responsibility to be good stewards of our residents’ tax dollars,” said Town Manager Alex Rey.

The entire report can be found on the Town website by visiting www.miamilakes-fl.gov/manager.
