Update: COVID-19 testing site to open Wednesday in Miami Lakes

A drive-thru COVID-19 testing site is scheduled to open Sept. 1 in Miami Lakes.

The project, to be set up at 7601 Miami Lakes Drive in the parking lot of the former Hotel Indigo, is a partnership between The Graham Companies and Longview Technology Services of Herndon, Va.

It was originally scheduled to open Aug. 31. Longview Technology Services is going to use that day as a soft opening and said it will welcome all members of the community on Wednesday.

The free tests will be the PCR nasal swab version. Patients will register when entering the site and may expect results within 24 hours which will be sent via email, Longview Technology Services said.

No appointments are required; testing will be available daily from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
