Variety of senior games with sports and bingo

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee is celebration summer with a series of free activities to keep seniors healthy and active.

The next field trip to a Miami Marlins game is Thursday, August 25, against the Kansas City Royals. Admission is free for seniors on Thursdays, and free transportation is provided. Space is limited and reservations are required. The bus will depart from Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, at 4:30 p.m.

The 10th annual Senior Games Series ends with basketball starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, at Shula’s Athletic Club, 15150 Bull Run Road. Registration will take place onsite and participants will receive a “snazzy” t-shirt.

Lunch Bunch and Bingo, sponsored by The Graham Companies, Always At Your Side Adult Day Care, Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr., and the Florida Pace Centers, will be held on Wednesday, August 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Town Hall. Seniors are invited to enjoy lunch, socialize, play some bingo and make new friends.
