Veteran Town administrator Tony Lopez appointed new Deputy Town Manager

Tony Lopez, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Town of Miami Lakes, has been named as Deputy Town Manager. The appointment was the first to be made by new Town Manager Edward Pidermann.
As COO, Lopez has been responsible for the implementation of all Town operational initiatives and policies and has provided the vision for major community development projects in parks, beautification, public safety, infrastructure and mobility.
Lopez has worked for the Town for over 14 years and his leadership has been instrumental in the development of creative solutions and public improvements for the Miami Lakes community.
Most recently, he completed the Miami Foundation’s Miami Fellows Leadership program. In addition, he is currently working on his doctoral degree in Business Administration and serves as a professor at Florida International University.
