Bob Graham Education Center’s (BGEC) Bobcat Dance Team attended the American Dance Alliance State Competition on Sunday, January 21 at Florida International University along with many schools from Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
They had the opportunity to compete and showcase several routines, solos and duets in different categories.
A duet performance by Sophia and Susanna Inguanzo earned first place honors in the Duet Category for Style of Dance, and third place overall in the duet category.
The Bobcat Lyrical Team earned a second place overall win.
“This is the second competition of the season and as the coach of the Bobcat Dancers. I am very proud of the girls’ hard work, sacrifice and commitment of dancing as a team,” said coach Mayri Martinez.
The Bobcat Dancers next compete in Orlando in early March.
