The family of Roland Gomez will celebrate his life on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the clubhouse at Miami Lakes Optimist Park.
Gomez was an attorney, youth sports booster and coach with the Optimist Club for many years.
He died Nov. 29 from complications after a short illness, his family said.
He was 84.
Gomez’s survivors ask anyone who wishes to share photographs or stories to email them to RichardGomez@rgpalaw.com or call Nancy Contreras at 305-467-2008.
They are also asking that guests call to confirm they will attend.
Gomez was a director of the Humane Society of Greater Miami and loved animals.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Gomez’s honor to the Flagler Humane
Society, or to Flagler Cats Inc.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 6411 NW 162nd St., Miami Lakes.
