Dade Christian’s Sierra Volleyball club wins New Year’s Tournament

Dade Christian’s 16-and-under Sierra volleyball club took home the first place trophy at the SOFLO New Year’s Invitation Tournament at South Plantation High School on January 15.
The girls competed in a pool of eight local volleyball academy and club teams and pulled off stunning wins against all of their competitors on their way to the championship.
Athalia Allen led the team with six kills and five aces, while Gabriella Gonzalez had nine aces and Juliette Santi added 10 assists, as Dade Christian defeated SOFLO Volleyball Academy in straight sets, 25-22, 25-17, to win the championship.
