FIU's Women's Tennis Team scores conference awards and coach of the year honor

Florida International University’s women’s tennis team walked away with several conference awards including coach of the year honors. 

 Head coach Katarina Petrovic was named C-USA Coach of the Year, competing her sixth season as head of the tennis program. In addition, five Panthers, seniors Andrea Lazaro, Nerma Caluik, junior Maryna Veksler, sophomore Ulyana Grib and freshmen Sandra Bozinovic, earned a total of eight awards for their performances this season. 

 Bozinovic was named to the All-Freshman Team, as she ended her first season with the Panthers with a 11-4 overall mark. Grib earned First-Team All-CUSA honors in both singles and doubles. She closed out the 2017-18 season with an 18-4 overall singles record. 

 Veksler earned Second-Team All-C-USA honors and First- Team All-C-USA in doubles. Lazaro earned First-Team All- C-USA honors in both singles and doubles. The senior from Barcelona, Spain finished the year with a 26-5 overall mark and a 14-2 record in dual action
