As Barbara Goleman High’s football team prepares for practice this month, quarterback Manny Reyes III is entering the season with a strong athletic background and making a case to be among the top field generals in Miami-Dade.
Reyes has been training with players from the University of Miami and Florida International University at their youth camps during the offseason, and working out with NFL quarterbacks Blakes Bortles of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Teddy Bridgewater of the New York Jets.
His father, Manny Reyes II, who played semi pro football and in the UFL, trained his son since he was 7 years-old and played quarterback for the Optimist Club of Miami Lakes.
