National Honor Society students at Barbara Goleman High School were among the thousands of participants for the Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge last month at Hard Rock Stadium. Participants rode bikes, ran and walked or volunteered to get one step closer to finding a cure for a deadly disease that has affected millions of people.
Launched in 2010 as the signature initiative of the Miami Dolphins Foundation, the DCC is a way for all people to unite for a common cause of fighting cancer and raising funds for innovative cancer research at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. So far, DDC participants have raised more than $22.5 million.
