Goleman’s Valcarcel signs with St. Thomas University

Barbara Goleman Senior High School’s Zachary Valcarcel signs his letter of intent on National Signing Day to play football for St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens in the fall.
The 5-10, 165-pound Valcarcel, a senior wide receiver, was among 55 players recruited by Coach Bill Rychel for the Bobcats second-ever recruiting class.
Valcarcel recorded a career total of 1,248 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns, and 822 rushing yards with 14 rushing touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.
In 2019, he helped lead the Gators to the best season in school history with a 10-1 record and were defeated in the Greater Miami Athletic Conference (GMAC) Independent League Championship.
