HML's women's softball team prevails in marathon victory over rival Jackson

After a three and half hour marathon, Hialeah Miami Lakes (HML) High’s softball team outlasted district rival Jackson, 20-14, at the Generals’ home field last week. The Trojans pulled away in the 7th inning, scoring three runs to seal the victory. HML started off the season with a 12-0 shut out victory over Northwestern and a victory over Reagan before losing to district foes Miami Springs, 15-0 and Goleman, 9-2. The Trojans are 4-2, (3-2 in district) and two games out of first place under undefeated Goleman (6-0, 3-0). Up next for the Trojans is district opponent Carol City, which is so far winless on the season.
