Miami Lakes kids have a lot of options for camp – to play soccer, golf or tennis; learn to cook, use math and science while fighting pirates and spies; make art and do crafts; perform in a musical or produce or write a play.
ALM Sports Camp June 8 – Aug. 14, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., Ages 4 -15. All abilities welcome.

Camp Wannado June 8 – Aug. 7, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Optimist Clubhouse, Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6411 NW 162nd St. $155 per week per child covers field trip costs. $36 registration fee is required. First Tee Miami June 8 - Aug. 7, Monday - Friday, 8:45 a.m. - 3 p.m., Ages 7 - 16 First Tee Miami at Miami Lakes Golf Club, 7601 Miami Lakes Drive $395 per week, $275 sibling rate. Miami Lakes resident, $275 per week, proof of residency required. First responder families’ fee is $275 per week. Based on nine core values and nine healthy habits, golfers of all skill levels are welcome. Each day begins with three hours of hands-on instruction by PGA and LPGA professionals. Main Street Players Summer Theater Camp June 8 - June 28, Wizard of Oz Theater Camp; June 29 - July 10 – Young Playwrights Camp. Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Ages 6 -15 Main Street Playhouse, 6812 Main St. Musical theater - $1,000; Playwright - $600; Both - $1,500. Young thespians will have two camps to choose from this summer at the Main Street Players. The first session will teach campers how to produce a musical, from auditions to rehearsals to live performances on June 26, 27 and 28. Kids who don’t want to stage a musical and would rather write can sign up for the young playwright’s camp where they learn to create scripts for original scenes and short plays.
