Mater Academy's girls volleyball wins first place

Mater Academy’s girls’ volleyball team took home first place among 40 other schools at the University of Florida Team Volleyball Camp and Competition.
The Lady Lions beat out their competition during the three-day event which included training and competition, watched a demonstration from UF volleyball players and participated in the tournament won by Mater Academy.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the Lady Lions for their achievement followed by a gourmet dinner.
Earlier this year, the 12-member team committed to attending the camp and competition by attending local camps to prepare them for the big stage of high school volleyball.
