Mater Lakes Academy High School girls basketball guard Kaylee Llanos scored her 1,000th career point on Dec. 3, when the Bears defeated Southwest Miami Senior High School, 56 - 15.
Llanos, 18, achieved the feat at the Bears first home game in the school’s new gymnasium.
The senior was given the 1,000th point ball to take home.
According to Mater Lakes, Llanos’ season average was 20.3 points per game 5.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2 steals per game.
The Bears are 3-5 this season and hope to return to the regional tournament in February.
