Miami Jewish Health, along with The Graham Companies, hosted its Annual Classic on April 26 at Shula’s Golf Club in Miami Lakes. The event raised over $263,000 in support of the services and programs at Miami Jewish Health, including the work of Marc Agronin, M.D.

Dr. Agronin and his team provide a complete range of services for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders at Miami Jewish Health’s Memory and Research Center.

The Classic offered a fun and competitive golf tournament and relaxing day at the Spa, followed by a putting contest. Nelson Dellis, memory athlete, mnemonist and four-time U.S. Memory Champion, shared details of his most recent climb up Mount Kilmanjaro where he placed the Miami Jewish Health flag at the summit.

Evening highlights included a message from Senator Bob Graham and Miami Jewish Health president and CEO Jeffrey Freimark with an update on the unique partnership between Miami Jewish Health and The Graham Companies and their joint project, the Senior Village at Governor’s Square. The development will include assisted living and a skilled nursing facility to be operated by Miami Jewish Health.

Tournament winners included First Place – Greenberg Trauig (Julio Collier, Brian Dombrowski, Jorge Navarro, and Albert Perez); Second Place – Seasons Hospice (Pedro del Campo, Raymond Levy, Juan Rodriguez and Michael Stewart); Third Place – Broad and Cassel (Steve Davis, Ken Dorsey, Mark Raymond and Michael Stewart); Longest Drive winner – Michael Bradham; and Closest to the Pin winner – Laura Steinbrink.
