Miami Lakes Athletic Club’s events for breast cancer awareness

     October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Miami Lakes Athletic Club will have several events to raise donations for the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative.

     The Miami Lakes non-profit promotes disease prevention and patient education.

     Nine classes  -- from Spin & Sculpt to Yoga to a Silver Sneakers circuit and more -- will be offered and listed on the club’s app. 

     Donors to the cause will receive wrist bands, bandanas and other goodies. 

      If tennis is your game, play with pink balls in a round robin tournament for men and women, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Oct. 21. The fee is $30 per person and non-members are welcome. Register in advance at the club.
