Miami Lakes residents are encouraged to explore the “undiscovered” roles of local parks and recreation within the Town as it celebrates Park and Recreation Month, A Lifetime of Discovery.
Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), is designed to encourage people to discover the many opportunities that exist within the town from playgrounds, recreation centers, sports leagues, summer camps and other leisure-time amenities that can improve quality of life.
The month also recognizes the importance of green ways and trails, tree canopy, green spaces, senior and youth programs, innovative health and wellness opportunities, community celebrations, flood mitigation, maintenance and more.
Residents can explore and discover all that Miami Lakes offers with the hashtags #iheartmiamilakes, #miamilakesparks, #DiscoverJuly, #NFPA and #FRPA.
