The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Fall 2014 flag football season under league commissioner Javier Zapata.
More than 130 children participated in the football league this season, receiving trophies at the league’s closing ceremony event scheduled for Saturday, December 6, at Royal Oaks Park.
The season was made possible in part by the generous sponsorship from league sponsors: Global Management Services, Medical Priority Pharmacy, MiaCucina, Nice Car, Inc., SpeedyIT360 and TapeJungle.com.
These sponsorships exemplify a strong commitment to the Miami Lakes community and the town’s youth sports programs.
Registration for the next season of youth flag football will begin in January 2015.
The league begins in February 2015 and welcomes boys and girls ages five to 15.
