Next week, Pace looks to extend its winning streak against Treasure Coast (3-2) on Friday, October 20 and keep alive their hopes for winning another district championship.
Mourning (2-4) defeated Mater Academy (2-4, 2-3). The Lions will battle their district foe, Goleman (2-4, 2-4), on Saturday, October 21.
Goleman lost to Doral Academy (6-1, 5-0), 62-30, last week in a wild shootout. Doral Academy scored 28 points in the third quarter, the most points in school history.
American (2-4-1, 1-2)) defeated Hialeah Gardens (2-4), 36-14. Next up for American is a district showdown against North Miami Beach (4-2, 2-1) on Friday October 20.
The Chargers defeated Hialeah, 33-0, on October 12.
Hialeah Miami Lakes, seeking its first win of the season, allowed former state champion Central (8-1) to put up 59 points, while the Rockets shut out the Trojans.
The Trojans (0-6) face Norland (3-3) on Thursday, October 19.
