Cassandra Lemieux, a senior at Pace High School, and Shadelly “Chachi” Guzman, a Pace High School alumna class of 2012, recently garnered recognition in women’s sports.

Lemieux has signed with St. Thomas University’s women’s tennis team. As a future Bobcat, she will excel on the court the same way she has excelled as a student at Pace.

Not only is Lemieux heavily involved in her academic life, earning a 4.7 GPA, but she also spends her time volunteering with various organizations.

Guzman, a Spartan basketball stand-out for 4 years and now a proud Lion at Saint Leo University, was named to the 2014 Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team.

As a college sophomore, Guzman averaged 18 points per game in the tournament while playing 38.7 minutes per game. She is breaking records on the basketball court and succeeding in the academic field.
