Our Lady of the Lakes’ Dads’ Club is hosting the 20th annual Golf Classic Best Ball Scramble Tournament on Friday, May 5, beginning with registration and check-in at 10:30 a.m. at Shula’s Golf Club, 7601 Miami Lakes, Dr.
After registration and check-in, lunch will be served by La Esquina del Lechon, and the event will begin with a shotgun start at noon and end by 5 p.m. with a post tournament awards ceremony and dinner at Shula’s Steakhouse. Valuable team and individual awards will be presented during dinner. Dinner is included with entry fee.
This event is the major fundraiser of the year and funds raised in the tournament benefit the school’s sports. The Dad’s Club recently funded the purchase of a new scoreboard, defibrillators, playground maintenance and assisted in the purchase of updated computers.
Those interested in teeing up for a good cause can join as an Individual Golfer ($150), a Corporate Foursome ($700), Blue Sponsor ($1,000), Gold Sponsor ($2,000), or Platinum Sponsor ($3,500).
All sponsorships include four spots in the tournament (with the exception of an Individual Golfer sponsorship which is a single spot), invitation to the post-tournament awards dinner, golf shirts, hats, balls, beverages, team photos, greens fee, golf cart and tee/green company signage.
Blue Sponsors receive recognition in tournament literature and advertising and the opportunity to distribute corporate products or literature, and signage at special event holes. Gold Sponsors receive prominent billing in all literature and advertising for the tournament, and Platinum Sponsors receive all aforementioned perks and prominent signage at one hole.
Those who would like to donate but are unable to attend can submit checks payable to Our Lady of the Lakes Dads’ Club. The Dad’s Club is made up of six fathers and the organizers are Julio Valle, president, Rafael Rodriguez and Rick Raspall.
