Shula’s Golf Club hosted its annual Member Guest tournament April 20-22. Players competed over three days using the football match play format.
This year the theme was “Classic Rock & Roll.” Flight trophies consisted of framed replica guitars from the band they represented. Flights included Aerosmith, Journey, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, The Who, and Van Halen. The overall trophies were framed gold 12-inch records.
The 2017 Member-Guest champions were William Zoffinger and Izzy Del Valle.
Flight champions included Tico Valdes and Danny Correa (Aerosmith), Adolfo Zunino and Alfredo Santeiro (The Who), Bob Cerrone and David Rich (Van Halen), Dave Meade and Ken Ennis (Journey), Mark Siegfriedt and Norris Fill (ZZ Top), and Frank Rivas and Rick Gonzalez (Rolling Stones).
All players were treated to dinner and a Classic Rock performance by the John Bauer group.
