Sports fields closed for maintenance

    The town will be closing  athletic fields at Royal Oaks Park and Optimist Park for annual turf maintenance. 

     The fields will be closed Dec. 18 through Jan. 21. 

     Residents may still use designated areas of the parks or the fields at Barbara Goleman Senior High School. 

     At Optimist Park, the area north of the basketball courts and the perimeter berm will be open for use and one field may be kept open on a rotating basis, the town said. 

    At Royal Oaks Park, the open play field, the green trails just east of the picnic shelters and the walking trail will remain open. 

     Pick-up games may be played in the lower bowls of the field.
