The Miami Lakes Senior Softball program, otherwise known as “The Geezers,” is celebrating its fifth anniversary. The program started in September, 2009, and “The Geezers” play every Monday and Wednesday starting at 9 a.m. at Miami Lakes Optimist Park.
To minimize the number of injuries, and to make it possible for players who no longer can run to participate, the game is structured with no base running. Just lots of batting, fielding, and plenty of laughs.
Guys who play are of “Geezer” age but there is no age requirement for any females wanting to play. Those interested in playing or who want more information may contact Dave Oliver at 305-822-9680.
