Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee (EAC) will host several more fun and exciting events for seniors in August.
Lunch Bunch and Bingo – Socialize and make new friends while having fun and enjoying free nutritious lunches provided by Giardino Gourmet Salads. The last event will be held at the Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue:
Wednesday, August 22, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Reservations can be made beginning Wednesday, August 15 at 8:30 a.m. and will close on Tuesday, August 21, at 5 p.m.

Marlins Games Field Trips – Miami Lakes resident, 65 and older, receive Free transportation and tickets to Thursday Miami Marlins home games. Tickets are sponsored by Wellmax Medical Center and transportation is hosted by the EAC and The Graham Companies.
The next field trip is set for the Marlins vs. the Atlanta Braves on Thursday, August 23 at 7:10 p.m. The bus will depart at 4:30 p.m. from Miami Lakes Optimist Clubhouse, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
Seating is limited and reservations are required by contacting www.toml.eventbrite.com. Reservations will open on Thursday, August 16 at 8:30 a.m. and close on Wednesday, August 23 at noon.
Senior Games: Basketball Shoot Game – The EAC concludes the 12th annual Senior Games Series with the Basketball Shoot Game from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, at Shula’s Athletic Club.
Senior Games participants will receive a T-shirt and medals will be awarded to winners in each age division for the male and female groups.
