Com. Bovo's office hosts a Golden Passport event at Town Hall Aug. 6

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr.’s office will host a Golden Passport outreach event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, at Miami Lakes Government Center, 6601 Main Street.

Miami-Dade residents who are 65 years or older, and Social Security beneficiaries, can register for, or renew their Golden Passport EASY Card, which allows them to ride free on Miami-Dade Transit’s system.

Residents’ address must be current and correct within the department’s system, and they are required to bring current picture identification (valid Florida I.D. or Driver’s License), Social Security card, a current year printout from the Social Security Administration verifying continued eligibility (if under 65 years of age), and current Golden Passport EASY Card (for those renewing their cards.)

Seniors 65 and older must renew their Golden Passport EASY Card every three years. For more information, contact Bovo’s office at 305-820-8424.
