Florida Bicycling Association honors Zayas-Morales

The Florida Bicycle Association has recognized Michael Zayas-Morales as the 2020 Bicycle Professional of the Year.

Zayas-Morales is the transportation planning manager for the Town of Miami Lakes.

“I am grateful, humbled, and honored to receive this award,” Zayas-Morales said in a press statement, when he also credited the teamwork of town staff.

In his job, Zayas- Morales explores different modes of transportation and advocates and plans for safer infrastructure and accessibility, the town said.

The Florida Bicycle Association awards “bring attention to the efforts and achievements of groups, organizations and individuals” who help promote safe bicycle transportation and recreation, according to the non-profit’s website.
