Miami Lakes Auto Mall’s Chevrolet dealership recently donated $500 to the Optimist Club of Miami Lakes as part of their partnership in support of the large automobile company and 50 year-old organization.
The money is used for the baseball/softball and soccer programs at the club including purchasing uniforms and equipment.
Chevrolet, which has been the club’s biggest supporter for eight consecutive years, also donates sporting equipment each year to the kids in the programs.
Luis Cuevas, National Benefits Program manager for Chevrolet said the community has helped his company prosper and he wants to return the favor.
“We wanted to give back to the community, especially for the kids,” he said. “We would do anything for the kids.”
