Local Comcast grant winners

  Through its annual Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program, the Comcast Foundation is awarding more than $180,000 in scholarships across Florida. A total of 35 students will each receive $1,000 toward their education. Town welcomes Dr. D Conservatory of Music

  Miami Lakes councilmembers joined in the grand opening of Dr. D Conservatory of Music with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 2 at the studio located at 5881 N.W. 151 Street. Salvation Army Capt. Kelly Durant, a Miami Lakes resident, was honored by the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce for all of the humanitarian work he does throughout Miami-Dade County when a major disaster strikes. He received the proclamation from Chamber president Magaly Rubio.
