Elderly Affairs Committee has multiple events for seniors during September

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee  (EAC) will host several educational, fun and exciting events for seniors in September.

Lunch Bunch and Bingo – Socialize and make new friends while having fun and enjoying Free nutritious lunches provided by Giardino Gourmet Salads. Two events are scheduled at the Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue: 

Wednesday, September 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Reservations are required and will close on Tuesday, September 11, at 5 p.m.

Wednesday, September 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Reservations can be made beginning Wednesday, September 19 at 8:30 a.m. and will close on Tuesday, September 25, at 5 p.m.

Legal Clinic Forum – The EAC and Miami Lakes Bar Association  will host a Legal Forum with a panel of attorneys and experts in the areas of probate, estate planning, foreclosure, credit fraud, and land issues.

The program will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mary Collins Community Center, 115151 N.W. 82 Avenue, on Saturday, September 15. A question and answer session will follow the panel conversations.

Marlins Games Field Trips – Miami Lakes resident, 65 and older, receive Free transportation and tickets to Thursday Miami Marlins home games. Tickets are sponsored by Wellmax Medical Center and transportation is hosted by the EAC and The Graham Companies.

The final field trip is set for the Marlins vs. the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, September 20 at 7:10 p.m. The bus will depart at 4:30 p.m. from Miami Lakes Optimist Clubhouse, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.

Seating is limited and reservations are required by contacting www.toml.eventbrite.com. Reservations will open on Thursday, September 11 at 8:30 a.m. and close on Wednesday, September 19 at noon.
