This past holiday season, Express Employment Professionals offices across the United States and Canada joined together to “Pay It Forward” by hosting hiring drives and events in an effort to put job seekers to work.
The Miami Lakes Express office secured work for 32 people during the holidays.
The goal of the drive was to help give encouragement and purpose to as many job seekers as possible by providing them an opportunity to earn a week’s worth of pay before the holidays and help provide for their families.
In addition to putting an average of $1,000 into the pockets of each person hired, the Miami Lakes Express office donated $25 for each person hired to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that includes the new Miami Children’s Outpatient Center in Miami Lakes.
“Our Pay It Forward hiring drive wouldn’t have been so successful if it weren’t for the outstanding partnerships with 16 local businesses in the community,” said Michael Huffaker, owner and general manager of the Miami Lakes Express office. “With their support, we were able to make a difference and give back.”
