The town and its Cultural Affairs Committee will be hosting the 19th annual Independence Day celebration.

Lots of family fun is promised for that night at Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave.

The funk band Mojo Scoundrels will perform.

Food trucks will be on hand. A Fun Zone with games including Connect Four, Cornhole and Ring Toss as well as a photo booth will be set up.

The Spot Barbershop will give haircuts at a discount.

Bring your blankets and chairs to the park.

The evening’s events are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.

Parking is free at Governors Square, 8100 Oak Lane, just south of the park and at Parkside Corporate Center, to the east, at 15150 NW 79th Court.

Alcohol and pets are not allowed in the park.

The evening’s sponsors are The Graham Companies; Memorial Healthcare System; Apex Event Photos and The Spot Barbershop.
