There’s a new sub in town. Have you heard?
Jersey Mike’s has made its way to Miami Lakes.
It is a neighbor to other new, fast-casual restaurants, Bolay and Sergio’s Cuban Café + Grill, all open along the 15100 block of Northwest 67th Avenue.
Jersey Mike’s fit right in to the town’s culture by raising funds to support the education programs at the Miami Lakes Youth Center.
For five days after the restaurant opened on Nov. 6, customers could redeem a free sub with a coupon and a $3 donation to the center.
Franchise owners Juan Carlos Sandoval and Cesar Saucedo said they knew it was important to support the town.
“We reached out to the youth center,” Sandoval said. “We liked what they were doing there and knew this was the perfect fundraiser to get our Miami Lakes location going.”
Sandoval said he fell in love with Miami Lakes.
“I had never been in this town before and once I came here, I felt like it was such a complete town,” he said. “I knew this was the perfect location.”
Since 1956, Jersey Mike’s has been perfecting its sandwich craft from a storefront in Point Pleasant, N.J. on the Jersey Shore.
It has grown to have franchises across the country.
The chain’s slogan is “a sub above.”
Jersey Mike’s provides the best quality and experience, Sandoval said.
“We cook bread daily, we slice everything at the moment and have the freshest ingredients,” Sandoval said.
Jersey Mike’s is open daily from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
