Russell and Nick Govey, a father and son duo have partnered together to take ownership of the Miami Lakes restaurant, The Ranch House, located at 1548 W 84 Street, in the Palm Springs Lake Plaza.

The Ranch House has long been a staple restaurant stop for locals and in addition to the American, comfort-food style cuisine it is known for serving and will continue to serve, under the new ownership guests can expect an expanded menu and upgraded quality. The Goveys are currently working on introducing a craft beer program and have introduced appetizers in addition to their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

The Ranch House, which is a hybrid between a diner and restaurant, has been open since 1977 and is known as the “original” ranch house. While the originality of the restaurant will stay in tact small changes will continue to improve upon the original design. Speciality menu items are a host of steak and seafood dishes. The Ranch House now also offers over 80 different beers and a dozen wines.

“It’s nice to have that customer base that has been coming here for years and we hope to continue serving them while expanding the menu for new guests,” said Nick Govey.
