Classical renditions of familiar holiday songs provided a serene background for all the guests that attended the Spa at Shula’s event, Christmas Around The World, held on December 9. Guests were able to travel around the world for spa treatments, beverages and gift bags inspired by different countries.
Upon entering guests were treated to a spread of varied snacks such as sashimi, hummus and pita chips, dragonfruit, and an assortment of cheeses along with white and red wine. Passports were handed out to direct guests to decorated rooms, dimly lit, each offering their own unique experience featuring the spa’s product line, Eminence. Spa staff dressed in traditional native wear representing that room’s country and themed music played.
The first stop was a Moroccan hand massage, and the next room featured a “French kiss” lip scrub and plump. Next came Ireland with facial treatments, a quick full body compression massage in the Brazilian Rainforest room, and a stop in Nepal for a chakra balancing experience.
A Japanese tea ceremony offered hot green tea and sake, and the evening ended with a Turkish Bath Infusion where guests were able to take home a combination of salts and peppermint aroma to use as a relaxing bath bomb. Gift bags received at every room featured a treatment sample along with a beauty tip from that room’s country.
