The Miami Lakes Town Council honored Miami-Dade police officer Rose Viera for her hard work and dedication to the community for 21 years. Viera, an original member of the detached unit to patrol Miami Lakes since incorporation in 2001, was awarded a proclamation by Mayor Manny Cid and council members during a regular meeting, where she announced her retirement from law enforcement. Miami Lakes proclaimed June 5, 2018 as Officer Rose Viera Day in the Town of Miami Lakes.
