Community Tuesday, April 14, 2015

The Property Search Portal on the Town’s website: allows users to easily access data on zoning restrictions, consumer spending trends, traffic counts, and labor force statistics, which are key indicators for businesses when looking to relocate or expand.

The application is designed to encourage economic development by making it easy to find the data and information needed when making business location decisions.

“This website helps prospective business owners streamline their property search and helps our local realtors to better market their listed properties at no cost,” said Councilmember Ceasar Mestre.

Among the application features are Demographic Analysis Reports which create an overview of the areas around each property including travel distances, demographics, consumer spending, wages and labor force reports; and Business and Industry Clusters which display and filter businesses by industry using an interactive map interface.

Using interactive GIS layers directly from Miami-Dade County, users can view community assets such as schools, special zones, transportation services, land use and zoning.
