Town plans field closures at Optimist, Royal Oaks parks

Miami Lakes will be performing annual maintenance to the athletic fields at Miami Lakes Optimist Park and Royal Oaks Park beginning June 10 and running through August 9. During this period, most athletic fields will be closed.
Residents and family membes will have access to one area at Optimist Park north of the basketall courts for play in addition to the perimeter berm areas for exercises.
Residents can also take advantage of the open play field area, the green space east of the picnic shelters and the walking trail at Royal Oaks Park.
Pick up games and other non-organized activities are encouraged to use the open play field areas at Royal Oaks Park and the fields at Barbara Goleman High School.
