Larry Nienaber, a 28-year veteran construction manager for The Graham Companies, was honored by his fellow employees on June 29 as he “hung up his boots” and officially retired.

Unofficially, he can still be found on the third floor of The Graham Companies office where he is briefing other commercial construction managers on ongoing projects, and the history of those he has priced, designed, and constructed during his watch.

Among the many major projects Nienaber managed during his career were all four of the Parkside office buildings in Business Park West, Laurel Court and Promenade office buildings in Town Center, Lakeside A and B commercial buildings in Business Park West, conversion of the former American Express building for Walgreen’s and Alorica in Business Park West, the Attorney’s Title, Delta, and Schering Merck buildings in Business Park West, the Leroy Collins office building in Business Park West, Ana Mendez University, the Eagle Nest Center office and retail building in Town Center, and the renovations and expansion of the Cypress Village Shopping Center.

Those projects, along with hundreds of renovations to existing buildings and offices, and many more tenant improvement projects, were successfully managed and completed within budgets by Nienaber during his extensive Miami Lakes career.

Best wishes to a really nice guy and a true professional!
