Scouts team up to retire flags in Miami Lakes ceremony

Boy Scout Troop 566 and Sea Scout Ship 144 retired more than 60 American flags and a state of Florida flag in a ceremony held Oct. 12 in front of Miami Lakes Town Hall, at 6601 Main St. Earlier this year, Troop 566 created a drop box in the government center for residents to deposit old, torn or discolored flags.
