A typographical error in the May 2 issue incorrectly identified the graduation rate percentage at Monsignor Edward Pace Senior High School. The correct rate is 100 percent. We apologize to the students, staff and parents at this fine institution.

    Hialeah Gardens Senior High School has nominated eight students for the Silver Knight Scholarship awarded by The Miami Herald. Nominees from all schools with be interviewed by a panel of judges and the winning Silver Knight nominee will receive $2,000, a statue, and a medallion presented by American Airlines. New Testament holds student event

  This year, New Testament Baptist Church's youth group, 4:12, captured the good vibes and camaraderie with “Compel Night” on Wednesday, April 30. The night kicked off in the church's parking lot with over 100 student attendees from Miami-Dade and Broward county schools. Sunrise Presbyterian Church, located at 18400 N.W. 68 Avenue, will be holding the third Annual Women's Tea Party event on Saturday, May 17, from 3 to 6 p.m. Last year's tea party had many attendees including Joyce Ann Johnson (pictured).
