Adopt-a-tree event set for Sept. 16 is cancelled

UPDATE: Event has been cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.

Miami-Dade Commission chairman Esteban Bovo Jr. announced an Adopt-a-Tree event scheduled on Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, in the Bill Graham Farm Village at Amelia Earhart Park, 401 E. 65 Street in Hialeah.

Residents are invited to received up to 2 free (non-citrus) fruit or ornamental shade trees while supplies last. Participants are asked to use the Park entrance on East 7 Avenue and provide photo ID.

Interested residents should check Bovo’s office at 305-820-8424 or at district13@miamidade.gov to confirm event will be held depending on Hurricane Irma.
