Town of Miami Lakes announced that from Monday, December 19 through Friday, January 13, the athletic turf field areas at Royal Oaks Park and Miami Lakes Optimist Park will be closed for annual maintenance and repairs.
Residents and family members will have access to one area at Optimist Park, 6425 Miami Lakeway North, which is north of the basketball courts for play in addition to the perimeter berm are for exercises
At Royal Oaks Park, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue, residents can use the open play field area, the green space just west of the picnic shelters and the walking trail.
Pick-up games and other non-organized activities are encouraged to take advantage of the open play field areas, and the fields at Barbara Goleman High School, 14100 N.W. 89 Avenue.
