BankUnited, a national bank headquartered in Miami Lakes, recently unveiled Bridges Cafe, a high-tech, health-conscious cafe area much to the delight of the company's 800 employees who can dine in with fresh meals throughout the work week. BankUnited was ranked 8th on Forbes Magazine's list of "Best Banks in America 2013."

The cafe, 8,000 square feet with a 200 person capacity, serves breakfast, snacks, and lunch with plans to serve dinner for take-away at the end of a long work day. Employees and their guests can dine within the comfort of the workplace without battling traffic or losing parking spaces for a quick lunch out. A variety of salads, sandwiches, entrees, beverages and smoothies are offered. The cafe also features a full line of Starbucks specialty coffees, teas, and beverages as well as lounge areas all throughout that create a relaxing atmosphere.

The renovations made also included an executive dining room, meeting and event space for employees to dine with clients, and celebrate in-house gatherings for birthdays.
