The Town of Miami Lakes and its Veterans Committee are taking applications for the annual veteran’s banner project.
The display of veterans’ photos and military service information will hang along Miami Lakes Drive to honor the men and women who have served our country.
The banners are free for veterans. The project was created by Fred Senra, a partner in Miami Lakes AutoMall which is the sponsor.
Friends and loved ones can nominate active-duty service members, reservists, veterans or retired members from any branch of the military.
To qualify for a banner, an honoree must be a Miami Lakes resident, a business owner or a veteran who works in town.
Residents and business owners may also nominate a service member.
The deadline to submit a nomination form is April 2.
