Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force will hold the 19th annual Bike Rodeo and Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, as part of the Town’s Super Saturday at the Park at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.

The Bike Rodeo and Safety Day is one of the committee’s longest running events and is considered one of the Town’s special “Play Days in Miami Lakes” under the prestigious “Playful City USA” designation.

The event, sponsored in part by Andy’s Police Supply and the Miami Lakes Police Department, will provide children the opportunity to learn about bicycle safety while interacting with various branches of law enforcement officers.

The first 200 attendees will also receive a free helmet and a chance to win toys, prizes and one of 15 bikes in a raffle.

Additional activities include a bike safety course, a K9 unit demonstration, photo booth fun, and more.

Super Saturday at the Park will also include a Community Bike Ride with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. and the 5-mile family-friendly loop opening at 8 a.m.
The highly-popular weekly Farmer’s Market also will be open at the park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
