‘Cafecito con Rene’ at Holiday Bakery

    Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sen. René Garcia held one of his “Cafecito con René” gatherings at Holiday Bakery in Miami Lakes.

     It was standing room only on June 11 at the store in the Cypress Village Shopping Center. 

     Garcia was running for re-election for Commission District 13 and won his race in the primary after an opponent did not file the proper paperwork. 

      Other candidates there were Fla. Rep. Tom Fabricio, R-Miami Lakes and Fla. Rep. Alex Rizo, R-Hialeah, Mario Knapp, who is running for sheriff; Councilman Josh Dieguez who is running for town mayor, former Fla. Rep. Christopher Benjamin, D-Miami Gardens who is running for county judge and Dariel Fernandez, who is seeking to become county tax collector.  Shown above from left are Tzippy Weiss and Rabbi Mendel Weiss of Chabad Miami Lakes; Fla.
